Its my holiday so i am keeping my diary a little shorter.

What has been working through me is walking away from what i thought was a friend as i felt i had done wrong. The wrong feeling , the dis -comfort is the becoming , the breaking of old patterns in which i let people treat me without care as i probably did not care about myself too. It felt the same when i walked away from my sister , there was doubt in my own actions even though i was lied to, stole from and manipulated. Those old patterns forming a familiarity within my psychological system trying to protect due to my attachments of needing being liked or even something deeper. I thought the over thinking of my actions were signs i had been harsh or reactive but in reality it was moving out of my comfort zone of letting people do this to me. Being in the flow of life does not mean letting people be careless about me : letting them be free of me gives them room to find care of others. The over thinking is a retained energy of uncertainty. The becoming is self care , self worth , self respect , self love and creating a better world for oneself where only the right people are allowed in. To be fearless of being alone

Bakethin Nature Reserve

On my now extended Bakethin route , it begins with Matthews Linn and through a lovely calm forest. Linn is a combination of Old and Middle English , Gaelic and Brythonic meaning a waterfall running over a rocky bed , pool at the foot of a waterfall. I haven’t found the waterfall but there is a beautiful inlet from the reservoir surrounded by trees.

The walk from here to the reserve is mainly forest but there are some wonderful plants along the verges which are very different from the woodland section of the reserve. I love this , each place having its own character even though in essence they are the same.

The colours now are divine and to experience them you have to greet them , enquire into them and find out the nuances , colour patterns and shapes they form. Nature invites you to look deeply so that you benefit from its magic. It asks you to be mindful and present with love. It is the same magic which inspired Georgia O’Keeffe paintings.

The nectar is “joy” as it draws you in and lights your heart until you cannot stop moving from one beautiful flower to the next. One minute its mindfulness and then followed by flow , vibrating your soul as you return back to the spirit of nature. You are the bee , the tree , the flower and all the energy in-between.

from love of itself

be that love.

Hareshaw Linn

The Hawthorn berries are forming as the old ones have now departed as if it was magic. It was a little breezy which tested my patience to wait for a moment to make a photograph but this slows down the process as one can get into a mindless goal of needing photographs without cherishing the moments of connection.

Everything here is designed to delight , every morsel meant for you to be in love with it and it does not disappoint. Every single creature is buzzing and taking their needs from its abundance. There is a joyous laughter of life which secretly melts into you. Do not separate yourself from it , the truest healing lies in rejoining back as nature to its oneness.

The verge plants are sublime right now and i cannot quite pin point the feeling i have within me , is it a deja vu from my ancient self relishing in the summer gifts or is it a new love that buzzes within me ? I can hardly contain myself wanting to take their pictures.

You have to be present and aware but hidden in plain sight are sycamore seeds blushed with red. Sycamores are divine beings hosting spirits of the forest , it both resides in the underworld and heaven. A healing , musical and artist tree.

Bull Crag Peninsular

The Bramble being my delight , i cannot remember it but i know as a child we would go blackberry picking and my mum would make jam and hot blackberry pie served with custard which was my Dads favourite. Even though i do not have the brain software to recall those magical memories they still reside deep within me.

Our memories are always filtered to how we feel in the moment. Our memory lens is how we feel about ourselves which is a signpost to our wellbeing. Sometimes i have a thought about my past , maybe a sentence and nothing more which feels surreal as i have no recollection of that moment and perhaps my subconscious is trying to match a new event to predict an outcome.

I am awe struck on the variance of plants and flowers in just one small space and i am delving close and then zooming out watching them all exist in harmony. What must our ancients thought upon July arrival seeing such array of colours and plants. What must they of thought when the glaciers went away leaving the land in such beauty. That day must of been the best ever day as each of my days when i am here feel like that day.

Although the prettiest of bramble flowers are out there are places favoured by the sunshine where the first berry are being formed.

Thank You
