Happy Christmas
My mum loved Christmas , she used to text me telling me that Santa has presents for me. This year was just Stella ( the cat ) and myself in our new home. I had made a special meal for both of us and although unusual for me I had some drinks they were in honour of my parents. We had the log burner blazing all day and it was a lovely peaceful time.
For me , Christmas is not the time to reflect or plan but just to be alive and rejoice in the moment. It’s for the joy of life and love which my heartfelt compassion goes to those hungry , homeless, lonely or in danger as this should not be happening in 2025.
Winter Solstice is a pause and now on the 27th when Mother Deer brings the light back we can begin to gather ourselves slowly but with intention for another turn of the wheel. We already harvested our endeavours in Samhain , met our ancestors and received wisdom from spirits.
Life isnt a contest and our purpose can be just living a life being ourselves. It’s that reflection of who we are , and had we began being curious and being in wonder of who we really are. It is not how well you did it , but that you did it even if it was small. A new year needs the nurturing of your substance , use this time to nurture yourself , pamper yourself and tell yourself you are worth it. ready for the lotus flower to emerge.
As it’s been Christmas and I gave myself the grace just to be with myself and of course Stella I have left just photographs for my nature diary this week and next.
I hope that you had a merry Christmas and it was what you hoped for.
