May
It has been 12 months of coming here every month and it still marvels me of its beauty. This place is a love letter to our aching hearts to be re-wilded. You notice that not all from last year has gone , just co-existing with new leaves and buds which conceal that everything in nature has its own cadence of living. It felt like magic that the once bare woodland floor has been carpeted with different woodland plants including wonderful aromatic wild garlic with their white flowers sparkling as they mirror the stars. Purples , whites , crimsons and yellows scatter the woodland floor of delicate wild flowers. You can imagine fairies dancing through them and have commune by the water pools plunging there way down to Bellingham. Time seems to be slower here , it is like Narnia as it was at least 3 hours since i entered and still buzzing around new flowers and endless green foliage. I prefer an early morning for more solitude and space to take pictures but in May , just go at anytime and you will be delighted by the healing properties of this little woodland.
