April
My beautiful Bakthin has been in the wars over the last 3 months but neverless it is still a magical place to visit and my favourite place to go , to be still in , to photograph , to paint in and just hang out with. The colours are divine at this time of year and slowly yellows and greens are popping up. Early April is serene and calming to the nerves and it deserves extra slowness to be able to notice the new whilst appreciating the grace of the end of winter.
Its my last chance before the vibrancy of green envelopes the woodland to find some tree characters and note the hidden paths and enclaves which have invited me in during winter. Making friends with your nature place deepens your connection , strengthens your mindfulness and opens up possibilities of seeing deeper : all scientifically proven if you are that way inclined.
My new route begins at Mathews Linn and takes me 3 miles down to the first nature pond and then return back. For photography i love linear walks as i have two prime lens , on the way out its my Macro , 80mm Fuji lens and on the back back i love captures more environmental shots with a 23mm , Fuji Lens. ( 120 & 35mm Full Frame Equivalent)
I am looking forward to the nature ponds in May and seeing spring fill the reserve with beautiful greens and new colours along the verges.
