Expect the unexpected due to variances of climate February was a month of cold and wet rather than dry cold and snow.

February is about slowness and deep enquiry into its hidden depths , beautiful colours , little stories of plants remaining , textures and light. It has it all , even though on face value it seems empty there is delight everywhere , you just have to work harder and begin to see differently. The art of noticing , the ability to see beauty in everything evolves through mindfulness and curiosity. Be inquisitive.

Look at the miniature but also zoom out and everything in-between. Beautiful jewel like moss tentacles , alien like lichen and saturated moss dangling of branches. But there are wonderful prizes of what i call “stories” of trees , some encrusted in lichen others dark and mysterious but their settings are so diverse here ; maybe in lush moss with an array of colours and textures , or reddy brown grasses to swamps.
