Connect to the abundance

Summer Solstice Blessing

May the solstice connect you to the abundance , gifts and blessings of life . May the solstice connect your breath to the the earth. Blessings and gratitude to you.

Bakethin Nature Reserve

It is becoming a Sunday morning habit to pop along to this place. It is a good start to what is always a simple Sunday , a shower then breakfast afterwards leaving the day to chill out hopefully with “R Cat” Stella. Growing up in Manchester , England , we used the term “R Kid” or “Our Kid” as a term of endearment for a sibling or someone whom belongs in the family.

This morning intention was just some beautiful nature connection but I did have a few things on my wish list. I needed more Buttercups and if lucky some a few white Daisies if there is enough to go around. Moving forward from my thoughts last week was to spend time experimenting to create art work which aligns with how I create. It is so difficult not to fall into the trap of needing everything to be a great outcome or indeed worrying about sharing your journey. “Let be” people’s preferences and beliefs..

I am not sure what this wild flower is but I thought it needed its own space and also a great summer solstice offering to you all. It is a gentle reminder that greatness comes from love not power.

The mosses have the most beautiful pearl like shoots. I just shoved my camera in and hoped for the best and was delighted by this picture. I have found a new mode of photography of shoving my camera into something ! I love seeking out the old tree trunk mounds covered in moss , one was covered in beautiful clover leaves , you could spend hours seeing whether there is a four leaved one amongst them. Most of all , I love little stems of new plants growing from the them ; it’s that wee world which represents the larger world around which I am always seeking.

Falstone Forest

They are different names but I usefully call them cow parsley and it is for me the summer time coming plants. I mostly love these in the autumn when they become quite structural and offer different tones of brown. But as today is summer solstice, here is another offering to you. Spend your day gifting others whether known or unknown as this connects the love and for sure we need more of this in this world of today.

There is along the North Shore Lakeland Way path, from the Hawkhope Carpark, a little circular walk catching the Belling Chamber , it is mainly Pine and Larch but its a great little excursion from the path and leads you to a lovely point by the lake shore with amazing views across the water. Which leads me to across the water. Falstone Forest is far too big and difficult to capture what I am looking for and I am moving this part to across the water , to Bull Crag Peninsular. Hopefully being more compact that I can get the intensity in less miles. I am also extending Bakethin to cover Mathews Linn. I have only been living here for 10 weeks but I am starting to get a better feel of what Kielder Forest can offer me .

It is work in progress.

Freya’s Cabin

I had a terrible nights sleep but the sun was shining and I had already put off the visit yesterday . I am so pleased I made the effort as it was a beautiful walk. I parked by the reception and the lovely lady gave me directions to the start and then it was easy all the way. What I like about the paths is they are accessible for everyone , so everyone can experience nature.

The paths are blessed with wild flowers and new life. The pine sections were so aromatic: I love the smell of pine. Glorious is a great word for today and I felt blessed to be able to live here. I had met one person along the way at the beginning and enjoyed peace and solitude all the way around.

To top it off little Stella was sat waiting for me when I got home.

There was so much abundance along the way I began catching myself saying “ Got one of those” and then realising “so what” when in abundance be abundant, that’s what nature is teaching you. Make many pictures of the same thing , look at different angles , take wider and narrow to reveal its inner beauty. Make that plant your muse. Nature asks you when in abundance to participate and reap the gifts so you may offer those gifts to others.

When we are under so much pressure with our lives or struggling mentally it is so difficult to know the feeling of abundance and although sometimes the gratitude can be tricky to embody , we can just sit with abundance and simply thank it. I will be doing a sitting in nature abundance meditation in July ; I think its important to learn how and it isn’t that difficult to learn.

Photographs for Sale

I had a little burst of an idea that perhaps I should sell some of my photographs and by some strange happening I was followed on Blue Sky by someone using The Print Space to manage his landscape photographs. I had a little look and thought “Why Not” . Being particularly weird I thought I might as well share my weirdness and offer photographs of art in nature that I see. I will be keeping it quite simple with optimised sizes , you can get just the print or 3 choices of frame. The partner company can process here in the UK , in the EU and also USA which is remarkable and makes life so easy.

Some Photographs below which are in my photo shop.
