Falstone Forest Rock

There was a little clearing of the tiny track over Black Belling Hill in Falstone Forest with some rock formations and on the track floor were beautifully marked rocks. My imagination goes over active with this as I begin to see ideas as my eyes shift from positive to negative spaces.

I often wonder why I see natural art like this whether our ancient people were inspired to create their own rock art , to seek out colour and create forms of their own.

I use “Rock Art” for anything related to natures art on rock or formations of rock. I love seeing things and using my imagination. I have a brain condition called “Aphantasia” which I cannot visualise but my imagination works with what I perceive , I have no idea how I can turn shapes into things but I can and it’s fun.

Tree Bark Expression

I must say I have been worried about me posting my weirdness of love of tree bark. I actually print them off on my Instax printer and glue them into book. Maybe I might make a ebook or something else in the future. To me they speak for themselves. It is tree language and although non translatable into human words I seem to know what they are saying. It is like my painting , it is a knowing which I follow.

I hope that you like them. Maybe in time, those who love natures art especially tree bark can create a space where we can share our finds.

Organic Shapes

I use “Organic Shapes” for other than rock art which I find in nature. I seek them out to eventually draw which I am developing from my initial sketches I make but unsure whether I want these on my art website or here. I am leaning to my art website as I want what is shown here to inspire other people and I think that showing my interpretation would muddy that. I like to leave space for people to see what they are seeing and feeling.
