Our art resonates

I expect that quite a lot of people including myself have been through a process of thinking that our art does not match what the culture we found ourselves in and that we are not enough or our work is insignificant. We get stuck in a language implanted in our subconscious which if doesn’t bring us down it just isn’t helpful. I began thinking about an ex co-prime minister who works for Facebook trying to justify taking without consent or payment peoples art. My thoughts is that he just doesn’t understand human beings being art making and believes if they have enough “material” that AI can learn to create. To me there is irony in this as throughout my life especially as a child people like him have been telling people like me making art is a hobby and should be left to their ”culture” to decide what art is good or bad to now wanting to steal the very same art that wasn’t good enough for them.

Human art is not mechanical , or a process to make products but to express something within us just like nature does. AI cannot feel something or channel spirit through consciousness, it is only mimicking rather than creating. If AI was so intelligent it would understand this , but it only understands what is programmed and those programmers do not understand making art , they understand power and wealth.

Rupert Sheldrake penned the phrase “Morphic Resonance” as a biological term which we are not separated and when a particular organism makes changes this resonates and help similar remote organisms to change: its an expression of inter-connectiveness. I feel that this is the same when humans create art , we resonate a higher frequency within us as we connect to consciousness and create something new into the universe: humans add and expand consciousness to the universe as much as we receive. The resonance is the frequency of love , as art is love and this love expands across humanity in a positive way. When Amy McNee says “ people need your art” it is because your ability to express something in your own way , not mimicking culture or trend, connects them to themselves and inspires which resonates, creating a better and kinder world.

It has taken years upon years since beginning my mindfulness journey to begin to connect to feelings and to be honest if I lose intention , I lose my connection to myself. It is now my life journey work to build my connection to my body in order to express myself outwardly with my art which is beautiful as I know that my expression evolves: there is an endless source. When I am sat painting in the studio or in a woodland painting or photographing I feel something other in my presence , it is often announces itself in the studio as a strange but pleasant smell which drifts across the room and when outside I get a warm fuzzy feeling and both have a sense of something with me.

Like the law of attraction the magic of art lies within the feeling

I wonder whether other people have similar feelings when they are in art making mode and maybe sometimes surprised to how they arrived at something they made as it just came to them. It would be good to know how others experience a connection when they make their art.

I also believe that love , kindness and compassion has the same resonance . I do not wish to get into politics and conspiracies that the system wishes to divide us, make us anxious or hate others but I do feel the antidote for a better world is more people expressing love , kindness and compassion helping others through resonance and congruency.

We need you making art and sharing it to the world showing your uniqueness as this propagates more love , kindness and compassion nurturing a better world.

As we approached the end of early summer vivacious riot of colour especially this year with the extraordinary hot climate I said the words “ I will miss this warmth and colours resonating into my spirit “ and now as the autumn colours have almost fallen to the ground mirroring the display we once saw in the sky, I am saying the same about autumn. Like when I was seeking the last display of summer I am now seeking those autumn leaves on everything which still hold on to them.

We know in ancient Ireland that Samhain was the beginning of the year and I expect that the same rituals on the Island of Albion were held by the Druids of the “death of the year” where the veil between other worlds opened up and people remembered ancestors , lost loved ones. spirits and Faeries. The harvest was to sustain them through the darkness and none thereafter should be taken from the earth until spring. The earth itself needs itself to heal.

The dark winter is to meditate on the years life harvest which is to sustain spirit through healing and letting go. allowing ourselves clear sight when the spring new year arrives. Make your letting go with forgiveness and gratitude cyclic following the cadence of seasons of light and dark manifesting strong intention

Ends are really beginnings and its shadows are ideas of what is hidden which needs to become whole.

The darkness begins and there is beauty in the dullness which frames the still golden.

It is the mysterious and mystical shapes encrusted in ancient lichens which devour my mind so much I spend hours just seeking them and I often wonder whether my autistic strangeness aligns with others but these days I rejoice in my eyes and heart which allow such connection to all is beautiful.

As I do not have an inner mind to visualise I see right in front of me twisted shapes which look like ancient spirits watching over the woodland and I have fallen in love with the peculiar colours , their depth is my depth.

This time of year shows so much diversity and contrast , there maybe a tree loaded with cones or catkins waiting to be touched by the frost , sparsely decorated trees of autumn colour or a few plants still standing. What is wonderful of finding your own woodland is that each of these trees and plants you have spent time with them , knowing them and eventually loving them.

Love is the key ingredient to show their beauty with your art making.

The golden shimmers so evocatively through the filtered light within the now darkened woodland. These to me are Fairy places where they meet during the twilight hours , dancing and signing to bring good fortune onto the forest. It’s communion of spirits of the underworld , the fairies in which the knowing trees offer benediction to all and it's a pity that humans now have separated themselves from this richness. in offerings.

Within my art website newsletter I wrote about mindfulness of colour and that humans have lost awareness of what surrounds them as they take everything for granted including the air we breathe. Ask anyone whats the biggest thing within their immediate space and nobody will say “Air” . Taking your time to see the beauty of colour in all its hues and tones is a privilege of life. Taking time to soak in and pay honour to natures offerings by bringing your heart and attention to colour , how you feel , what experience it gives you , noticing how nature contrasts from one leaf to the next.

It takes intention and work on your mindfulness to create a rich and fulfilling colour experience and it only deepens and expands radiating wellness and beauty into your life.

Re-colourise your life.

My Robin friend is quite multi talented and not only helped me with photography but showed me a good spot to sit and paint whilst keeping me company. There is something quite primal with sitting in a woodland painting and letting nature guide you in creating something new : why would a Snow Drop try and be a Blue Bell ? Insecurity and fear steer us away from our true selves as we are concerned what other people may say or lose your reputation as you are showing something outside the norm. I certainly feel the pressure and the anxiety of being enough but whilst painting in location all of that departs from me and the feeling is inclusion and acceptance as I am not disguising myself whilst being vulnerable to what manifests from me.

Serenity of the Wild

Earth sits in silence

No anxiety of whats to become

No depression of whats passed

just being

just creating

just evolving without preference

Be that earth

show yourself

be yourself

let your creativity evolve

without judgement
